A subspecialty of paediatrics called neonatology treats infants from birth to one month old. About ten years ago, this specialty began to distinguish itself from the other branches of paediatric medicine, and it has since exploded across the nation. This is primarily because diseases and how they are treated in this age group differ greatly from those in older children.
The greatest care for these unwell new-borns is given in a facility established explicitly with them in mind by a dedicated group of doctors who have received specialized training in new-borns’ science in India and abroad.
